“E-A-G-L-E-S EAGLES!!!” Again. And again. And again.
Boyfriend and I spent a fun weekend in Jamaica celebrating the wedding of one of his childhood friends (and his bride).
We stayed at an all-inclusive resort, which was a first for me. All of my international trips have involved a lot of moving around and sight seeing. So it was a really nice break to just chill and do nothing, and be in a pool. With my big life change coming up, this was a great way to just reset, relax, and not think about anything.
The wedding was at a private villa with its own pool. To be honest, I’m surprised more people didn’t jump in after the wedding. It was perfect: the wedding was right before the sun was setting, so it wasn’t too hot to be out and about. The ceremony was cute and was followed by everyone having their own fresh coconut (yaaaaaaaaaaaaas!). Food was great and all the guys were freaking out about the Blue Label that was available in a Costco size quantity at the bar.
The grooms side was from Philly. At the dinner alone, the Eagles chant was chanted 20+ times. Including multiple different types of chants, and badmouthing a guy who had worn some other jersey all day at the resort during the best mans speech.
There was food and drink, followed by dancing. Boyfriend and I are dance machines.
We don’t dance together, we dance battle.
I can only think of one time we actually danced together. And that was mostly because it was Latin music and I was feeling like salsa-ing.
The wedding was a lot of fun and we partied until 3 in the morning. They even had someone come and hand-roll cigars. Sadly, the only photos boyfriend and I took together was for the guest book on a Polaroid. We have a TERRIBLE habit of never taking photos together so I am hoping that there is some photo of us together on someone’s phone or in the wedding photos. I really liked my dress! Ugh!
After the wedding, we lazed around the resort in ultimate relax mode. I definitely did not eat my moneys worth in food at the resort. Oh well.
